Determining the classification of fire doors:
- Integrity (E): the ability of an element to prevent the passage of flames or hot gases. When the element is exposed to fire, cracks or openings should not appear.
- Insulation (I): the ability of an element to prevent the excessive transition of heat by conduction. Elements must be manufactured from materials that are thermal insulators.
Insulation I2:
- average increase in temperature is 140˚C or less;
- maximum increase in temperature on leaf is 180°C or less;
- maximum increase in temperature on frame is 360°C or less; - Time in minutes (30, 60, 90, 120), representing the time the criteria are fulfilled during the fire resistance test in accordance with the curve of a standard fire.
